Docrinal Statement
The Jesus Seminary believes:
1) We are only saved by grace that comes from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. There is no other way to salvation as we escape the fires of Hell.
2) We believe that we worship the Triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).
3) We believe that the Holy Bible is the true Word of God in its original form. While translators can err, the Word of God remains constant and is trustworthy.
4) We affirm that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, walked in the lands of Israel, died on the cross, rose three days later as promised, defeating the powers of sin and death. He ascended into Heaven, where he sits at the right hand of God the Father.
5) We believe that we are called to baptize and make disciples for Jesus Christ as commanded in Matthew 28.
6) We affirm the teachings of the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.
7) We believe that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is available today for all believers who have made a confession of faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
8) We embrace all denominations that believe in the basic values of the Christian faith as explained above. We feel we can join hands as we fight against a greater enemy – the powers of Satan.
9) We affirm that Christ will return as promised and usher in a new kingdom whereby Heaven and Earth will be one as proclaimed in Revelation 21.
